Custom Woodwork, Created Around Your Space
In a private atelier on the eastern coast of Crete,
Yiannis Fragiadakis creates wood pieces intended to
belong somewhere specific.
Some begin with local olive wood. Others with reclaimed
timber that has already lived another life. Each one is
developed slowly, with exacting care, and always one at
a time.
From dining tables to fitted interior elements, every
commission begins with the space itself — its scale, its
rhythm, and the kind of presence the piece should
carry.
The Artisan — His love for craftsmanship brought him after college to work in a local carpentry, and at his very first day at work he knew that this was his destiny.

Locally sourced wood
Since we are located in beautiful Crete Island, we are lucky to have access to premium quality olive wood, which we process from the moment it is cut until it becomes a beautiful bowl or a stunning table, and we also take care of the drying process on our own premises.
Some of our woods are re-cycled; you could have a cypress table from an old cottage roof, or a black mulberry board from an old boat. We recycle, we reuse, we reduce our carbon footprint.

Behind the work is Yiannis Fragiadakis
A craftsman whose relationship with wood began in childhood on
the shores of Crete and grew, over years of practice, into an
independent atelier built on patience, discernment, and
care.
Nothing is made in quantity. Nothing is
hurried. Each piece receives complete attention, from raw
timber to final finish
Behind each piece is a life
shaped by place, material, and time. The work of this atelier
did not begin as a business concept. It began on the shore in
Crete, with sea-washed wood and a child’s instinct to make.
